HR: Mod Day August 23rd, Saturday
#123
I have just gotten home. Nice top-down evening drive . First things first...
To Dustin...
Thank You!
Thank You!
Thank You!
...for your help with my speakers today. Driving home tonight, listening to Sade's tunes...the percussions, the cymbals, bongos, sax, piano...and her smoky-sultry voice...with my HU volume at 38 (it only goes to 40!)...and ZERO distortion was such a pleasure it absolutely gave me goosebumps! So crisp & clear. I realize that says as much about the Alpine Type-S speakers as anything else. But I couldn't have enjoyed that purchase without your assistance with the wiring and such. Thank you again so much.
Next...Bill...
This day started MIGHTY EARLY for both of us. Really enjoyed coming into VA Beach with the sun coming up, and enjoying a hearty breakfast & some coffee at that lil' restaurant this morning. Set the mood of the day off to a great start
Next biggie...Carlo
Big props for having everyone over. Who knew a cul-de-sac spot of land could seem SO LARGE and so comfortably accommodate our many cars today. I really appreciate your letting me stake out under the shade of that tree up front . Only wish there'd been more minutes (and hours...based on how much claybar'n I still have to do to The Bruised Banana). But it was a good start (and pointed out to me that I *can* do it...if I just make the time ). And thanks for the jaunt at the end there. Glad I didn't miss out .
To so many more... Great to see old faces that it seems I haven't seen for so very long. And pleasant to meet new friends as well! Definitely love this community .
Thanks all!

So, I just made it home.
First of all, a great big thanks to Carlos for having us (including parents, roommates and whoever else contributed. It was a great event, and I can't put in words how well a GPS can work if it doesn't loses power every 5 minutes
But there are some very strange dudes down there in Chesapeake. Like this big tall black fella who helped himself to a ride with me while I was filling up at a somewhat out-of-the-way gas station. Rather creepy guy with scary teeth. At least he was nice enough to not relieve me of my wallet and/or smoke in the S. I think next time I'll have some more hardware on me when I come down south.
Seb.
