Skip - Did Summit Point change their policy recently? I thought that was the one Mid-A track that you could run without a bar, but with a 'broomstick test'. I guess I'll take it off my list.

Yes... this year is the first. There goes any hope of having another S2000-only track event- at least down here.

Lol, that's what you notice?

BeaveRun is awesome. I have the Safety21 roll bar but it's for the AP1 and I had to bang out my then one year old S2000 with a big hammer to get it to fit where it bolts to the floor on the right side. If I did it again, I'd probably get a stronger HardDog rollbar but I still wouldn't get the full cage because I like being able to drive it on the street.

one of the main drawbacks I saw with any rollbar on the street is that in an accident, you're still running the risk of crushing your skull.

I ended up picking up a $2k integra that I will be able to leave on the track if something happens but still have the ability to run at any track and still be streetable.

The flaming blue of Cusco probably would raise a flag, but Safety21's black paint doesn't. There have been several of us who have used the latter at VIR. That said, I would recommend a HardDog bar from Tom based on overall safety construction. This is news to me then. I suppose I shouldn't post information I wasn't 100% sure of. I had always heard neither of those bars would pass. I realize the bright blue of the cusco is going to be more obvious but I assumed the safety 21 being an almost identical design would not pass either. I know it isn't the best but if the safety 21 will let me get on the track at VIR or summit point then I'd be more likely to get one. I like the safety 21 for the fact that I don't have to destroy my interior trim pieces to make it fit.
