You really dont need to remove the front bumber to install a CAI. It would make it easier but you dont have to.

yea you pretty much do since you need to cut the hole under the headlight for the intake pipe/filter.

pretty much you need 10mm socket and a philips screwdriver. unscrew everything in the front.

If you've got a 1 piece CAI (older version like me), you need to remove the radiator fan as well.

It's a 2 piece. Do I need to have it jacked up in the air then? Or can it remain flat on the ground? Thanks.

I didn't remove my bumper when I installed mine. I just raised the car and took off the passenger front wheel. If it's a two piece like mine then you really don't need to take it off.

I didn't raise the car or take off any wheels. Just removed the front bumper. it's like 6 screws up top, 2 bolts on the sides and one screw in each wheel well I believe.

How to take off front bumper? Guardrail at about 100 mph!

Actually, you can install the intake both ways- with or without the bumper on. When I installed mine, I opted for jacking the car up. It probably would have been easier with the bumper off, but it seems like too much work. Dunno.

I dunno...I've never removed a front bumper before

[This post is only a joke. I'm posting here because I'm bored and arawok has already received excellent advice regarding his 2-piece CAI. However...should arawok (or anyone) want to know how to remove a front bumper, go to www.ricks2k.com and then click "Installation" down the left side of the main webpage, then click "Diffuser (Clear Corner Mod) Installation Instructions" and follow the Front Bumper Removal instructions ]
