I've gotten 2 of those! They suck..but I was in the HOV ane and got caught...so.........I paid the fines and my insurance went up.Now I stay outta the HOV lane.Just pay em and wait for your insurance premiums to raise...sucks but thats just the way it is.Oh and my second one:There were 4 of us that were in the HOV lane and I was the second car in line....He chose to pull me and not the others..."Officers Discretion" I think is what they call that little diddy!

Seriously. Either you were there or you weren't. Obviously you were there. There's no interpretation to be made. Pay the ticket and move on. Then stay out of HOV during HOV hours.
All of us that obey that law with the hope that HOV will actually work will thank you for it... Or maybe not thank you, but at least not wish missiles at you.

Nothing bothers me more than seeing someone cruising in the HOV lane on the toll road then freaking out when there's a cop and trying desperately to get out of the HOV lane. I've almost been hit a ton of times.
Sorry, I have -zero- sympathy for HOV violators who get caught.

The HOV lane is different on I-66 than it is on 395. There's no barrier separating HOV from non-HOV on 66 and I see people jump back into the local lanes when they see a cop. I like the 95 HOV lanes because nothing pisses me off more than people violating it. But nothing makes my day than seeing those freeloaders getting busted.
Just pay the fine. You got busted. That's life.
