Wow, I guess I was lucky or must drive like an old lady, but I've always gotten about 280 out of a tank in my car before the fuel light pops on and if I push it, I can get a nudge over 300 miles from a tank. The most I ever got out of a tank in the S was a total highway trip and that was 330 miles. That's with a couple runs of the gears in VTEC too.

In contrast, my beater consistently gets 450+ miles a tank and the most I got out of a tank was 494 miles. I've seen 35 mpg out of the Accord before...not bad for 210K miles. I usually average 31-33 mpg in mixed.

If you are filling up with E85, you will lose miles per tank. I *think* I read in Car&Driver or Road&Track that the use of E85 will, on average, result in a drop of 10-15% in fuel economy.

There is only one station that offers E85 near DC. I doubt he, or anyone on here, got gas from there. It's on a military base that allows civilians to purchase the E85 only... again, because it's the only source of it. I know this because I looked into buying a new truck that could run on E85.

Now, E85 does have a good side. If you crank up the compression really high(13:1 or better), supposedly you can get some good power numbers, but alas, mileage will take a big hit.

But nevermind all that, I don't know anything.

My mistake, I was thinking of the ethanol blended gas (10%) that is at most gas stations.

Thanks for the correction
