My car was parked at the TPC in Avenel(MD) Wednesday as I was to caddy in the PGA Pro-Am. I was excited despite the r@!n about seeing the pros in person for my first time. Unbeknownst to me, they were directing "working" personnel to a back lot. that back lot was a freakin' FIELD! This "lot" was on a slight hillside. Being one of the first 15 cars there(I was there at 0545), I really didn't think I'd have any problem with it. I quickly realized that parking sideways was going to be a problem. After two attempts at parking with the others, I eventually ended up at the bottom parked all by myself.
The tournament was delayed and not scheduled to start until about 1100. They made this call around 7:30ish. A couple of us decided to leave to get breakfast. Upon arriving to the lot, sure as ish, my car had been slid into. The damage was done to the driver's door and somehow a couple of scrapes on the rear bumper.
No note. No real evidence left on the car(paint, etc.). I tried twice last night to upload pics, but to no avail. The PrincesS will be in the shop all of next week, but should be ready for the 22nd and the 28th. That's good news.

Here's the funny(ironic) part. Sunday I did in fact enter my car into the S.L.A.P. show at Tweeter. I took Best Exterior .

I know I'm gonna catch hell for parking there. Honestly, once I got to there, i knew I was gonna need help getting out... that is why I parked such that I could pull straight forward.

I learned from an icy parking lot one year in my wife's 4x4...that when you have slippery conditions and you have to..."take the high road." I nearly took out 5 cars parked further down that day when I locked the brakes up and slid for days...[Maxwell Smart voice now..."Missed them by *that* much"]
Again...sorry for the damage. But hey! Congrats on the award 3 days earlier!!!

i'm sorry to hear what happened to your car. people often ask why i park as far away as possible from other cars, and this is an example of why.
hopefully they'll fix the car up and you can win the best exterior award again!

Sorry to hear that, Skip . It's absolutely unbelievable that people do stuff like this - even if they did accidently slide in the muck right into your car, you'd think they would at least leave a note if not be present.
Hope you get Princess fixed and shined up again soon!
