I want to know if the HID lighting temerature is controlled by the light bulb alone or the unit (metal case underneathe the housing.) Say, if a 00' and a 01' or 02' are following me at night, I can tell which one the 00' is right away. The 00' model's HID seems to emit a more purplish/blueish light from all angles, and looks brighter. More like a "REAL" HID.

If any local locals with a 00' model would let us try by attaching the 00' HID unit to the 01'/02' light bulb, please PM either me or jfys2k. It would take approximately an hour to find out - Today would be great if anyone could, because jfys2k's lights are out, waiting for the signal bulbs to come in.

Mike: I think I read somewhere else on the forum that as the lights get older the color changes.

are you sure mark??? i was thinking maybe its the light bulb, thats why i was thinking of getting a new set of hid light bulbs and see whats the difference...
