Hardtop owners?

I know someone threw out the number $2000 for an OEM top and while I won't say it's impossible to get one at that price it's pretty rare to find one in good shape for that price and if you do it's likely to not be the right color.
It sounds like if you're trying to stay to a low budget you'd get more enjoyment out of something else. Otherwise you'll just end up with a crappy fitting hardtop that you'll be pissed about throwing money away on.

The only other hardtop I would consider over OEM is the Power House Amuse top. BUT, that's over triple the price of a brand new OEM top, and I've even read that the fitment on it isn't as good as OEM.
I think it really just comes down to the material. You'll never be able to get any type of fiber/composite to shape like a metal.

Superslow sells the mugen replica's for 1275 shipped. But if you shell out a couple hundred more, you can purchase the Vacuum infused version. It's kinda like shrink wrapping the fiberglass but not. it also lessens the weight about 10-15 lbs as well. It fit's much much better and easier to paint. Doesn't have the wavy look like most fiberglass tops do.

I've had an oem, real Mugen, vis Mugen, and now a chaser top from Jeremy. Oem was nicest, real Mugen fit snug but my vis fit the snuggest. The chaser fits pretty snug too, just gotta get it painted soon.
