To hardtop or not to hardtop?
Been lurking for a while picking up tidbits of info (thanks all) and here's my first post
I finally went to the dealership yesterday to see about an "s". Unfortunately, they only had one and would let it out for a spin until they had another one. I'm curious to hear from any folks in the NOVA area that have hardtops. The dealership guy wasn't too hot on them (said it made it look like a miata), but I beg to differ. Since it's going to be my only car, do people with hardtops think they could live with/without one in the winter? BTW - I moving on up from my '93 civic
Thanks

Come to the Baltimore drive this Sunday 2/24. Check out the post. Ligntning should be there from DE...he has a Sebring Silver...probably will have his hardtop in place. You will see ~20 cars and someone would probly love to have a shotgun....a test drive at the limit
Welcome out of the closet of lurking and into the S2000 sunshine.
You might want to do a search....there have been lots of threads on the "does it work as my only car" question.

I think I would get it. Don't let them rip you off though...........Check our sponsors first to see what they are charging.
Welcome to the club, make sure to come to a meet once you get your car.

I agree S TWO K. I had a salesman quote a price of $4500 for the hardtop. I found it online for $2443.

The salesman gave me some wishywashy answer when I asked him how much. He said like 3-4 grand. I saw one at one of the sponsors site for $2995 (granted I didn't look too hard).
This might be a really stupid question but there's no worries about matching paint because both the cars and the tops are done in the same factory - right?

I was offered a hardtop yesterday (I called the dealer about bumper plugs) for $2500 here in the Richmond area.
