Default Hardtop install Q's...

I bought a hardtop from a s2ki member but seems like its missing some parts. I was hoping if anyone who has experience with these can take a look and see what might be missing (I'll bring the hardtop so you can see). Also I dont know if I can handle installing the hardtop so maybe someone can help me out! If anyone has installed one before can I get some help? I'll pay for the install. Thanks!

I think since you have a 2001, there is actually some extra stuff you need. Hopefully someone else can chime in and give you better details. I have a 2002 and for mine all I had to do was line up the posts in the back into the slots by the seats and lock it in, then the front just clips in like the regular soft top. Also had to connect the defroster cable, but again, on the 2001 you don't have that option.

As for help, once the hardware is put in to allow your S to take a hardtop, you just need two people to line it up and it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get it all locked down. It's only 44 pounds, but do not try and put it on yourself since you are likely to scratch your car paint if a post touches it.

10k4u & gfacter thanks for the input. I never got any parts for the rear defroster and handle assembly (rear lock handle). Many parts are already attached onto the hardtop. Other than that I think I got em all.

As far as I can tell(from looking at the instructions manual for 2002) I have the following parts EXCEPT: left & right side trim brush, rear defroster switch, subharness, switch cover, plastic cover, rubber spacers, cushion spacers, rear defroster relay, cushion tapes, information label.

10k4u do you think you can send me the parts list pics for 2001? Thanks man!

My e-mail address is jaehong81@comcast.net

Seller just told me the parts were shipped separately so I should be getting them soon. 10k4u, can you still send me those pics please? Thanks!
