I got a ticket in DC last summer and I paid it. Recently today I get a notice in the mail telling me I havent paid it. I went over to the DC DMV website and it says the ticket has been satisfied. They must of told the MD MVA that I didnt pay the ticket when I did. The MD MVA is asking for a recipt and I lost this recipt a while ago. The website doesnt give any type of recipt.

Anyone have any simular experience or can help me at all?

 

Did you pay by check? Get a copy from the bank. If you paid by CC, get a statement from when you paid it.

 

It says canceled checks are not acceptable.

I am going to try to get my bank statement for july because I think it might have the number. Do you think if I go to DC they will give me a recipt?

 

I'm actually in the same boat right now, but I never actually paid for it hahaha. I forgot to pay for it, and so I'll have to dish out $40 tomorrow and pay. Anyways, I hope everything works out for you!

Damn that sucks. How much was the fine? I know it's wrong, but honestly I'd just pay it again to get my damn license back.

 

If it was as easy as paying I would.

I went to the DC DMV website punched in the ticket number and it says its been paid. Its still though not any kind of recipt. Its prob a a 30 dollar registration ticket.

 

So print out the web page and show them that.

After you punch in the ticket it just says its been paid it doesnt even say the ticket number or anything.

 

Then look up the number for the DC DMV, and ask how you get confirmation of a paid parking ticket.

Be a bit more active, simply coming in here and posting "that won't work" to all of our suggestions isn't going to get you anywhere.
