When police officer/state troopers write tickets, there is a section on their copy where they write notes about the violation so they can recollect what happened that day for court. I always put down what the person was wearing, hair style, what they said to me during the incident/stop, and what I saw before I stopped the vehicle.

I always thought so, but i didnt see it on there. Hell, if theres no points, im not going to waste my time, ill just pay the ticket.
Since you seem to live in Md I would go to court and try to avoid this going to your driving record. All insurance companies spend a lot of their money in getting constant updates of our records looking for every little chance to increase their premiums.

I might be mistaken, but I thought points were assigned based on the volation. I have never seen the points listed a ticket before and sure enough I got them. Another thing to keep in mind is that insurance companies don't even care about whichever state's point system. They usually have their own point system.
I got two one point tickets at the same time, which in MD would be a total of one point. My insurance company however saw those as two spearate 4 (insurance company) point violations and I had to pay alot more money because of it.

Also, in Virginia, anything over 80 is automatically reckless.

which i find hilarious, because if you're not going 80 or awful darn close to it on I95, you'll get run over.
