i'm positive there's no mechanical damage as the hit wasn't even enough to shake the car. she was moving extremely slow and had only inches to build momentum. it's been a week now and i still haven't heard from insurance. i'm starting to think they were just yankin my chain about finding her and just plan to raise my premium. my deductible is 500 so i would not ask my insurance to pay for it.
as for the 'escape now' comment, english was obviously the man's second language so i think he chose the wrong word. i was just shocked that he was telling ME to escape.

if someone is at fault in an accident i am involved in, regardless of how small, i will always call the cops. Just to get a report. You never know when they might turn around and decide to sue you.
