Also consider Rockville Auto Body in Rockville. They've been very good at satisfying their customers over the years. Be very specific as to what you expect from the job and they will come through. This advice applies to any body shop, though.

Insurance companies suggest certain shops for a couple of reasons. One of them is they get a discount on work sent to the shop they recommend. So don't automatically assume just because your insurance refers you to one that that shop is excellent.

I can vouch for that. Progressive sent me to a shop (Scuderi in Rockville) for my first repair and they completely borked the job, did a crap half-assed repair that had to be corrected and took way too long to do it.
They did get taken off of Progressive's preferred provider list eventually, but still...

Oh, I completely agree. But this guy is a good friend first (6+ years) and a Progressive agent later (3 years). And this is where he said I should take my car - he was not the agent on my case. I ended taking it to D&V anyway.
He is the one who deals closely with the repairs - so every week he sees several cars get re-built from the many different shops in the area, as well as knowing many of the owners personally.
Thanks again for the help guys. It is reasuring to know that you heard good things about Imperial Autobody. I droped my baby there this morning. They will give me a cost estimate tomorrow.
Here are some pics of the damage. Now that I look at them, it looks less that what it could have been. We got lucky...
Needs a new door, right front fender, side mirror, front bumper, maybe rear bumper. Make sure they check the subframe in the middle and the front and the spot welds on the rear right quarter panel. If the spot welds are loose on the rear right quarter panel, your convertible top will need to be realigned. You might want to check the hydraulics on the convertible top to make sure they aren't farred either. Side impacts are the worst. They can tweak the entire care if it's not checked out properly.
