When I was in FL this summer just before Denis hit, the local gas stations (that weren't even in the hurricane's direct path) raised gas prices by $0.50+ just for the mention of another hurricane. I don't know if they were doing that in New Orleans before Katrina, but I definitely think they need to better regulate price gouging.

I got some gas last night for $2.69. THIS morning it whent to $2.99
.30 cents over night!!!! I saw one gas station for $3.09 this morning guess it costs more to lug it way up here.

Hey April I believe its still more expensive in the Rockville area. Its already 3.36 per gallon I bet down the road in Bethesada its almost $4

I filled up w/ regular in the two cars this past weekend at $2.45/gal. I also put $50 in the V10. Looks like I was pretty smart now.


And Warren, having Kerry in office would not mean lower gasoline prices. You know that.

As for gas stations inflating their prices, I remember a huge crackdown on that in the state of Florida this year. I also have to listen to reports from my mother and sister who live in the Tampa/St. Pete area.
