FS: Canon 300/f4 lens, price drop! Filters
I'm going to part with some of my gear
First up...
Canon 300mm f/4 L (non IS)- $600 *amazing price!* DROPPED! from $650
A fantastic lens - sharper than the newer IS lens. It has a little bit of dust inside, but nothing Canon couldn't clean up for their $60 (last I checked) fee. Even so, it hardly hampers the performance of this beautiful lens.
Example shots
NEXT UP...
Canon 1.4x Teleconverter II - SOLD
FINALLY, the Filters...
B+W 77mm 010 UV-Haze 1x - $65
B+W 58mm 010 UV-Haze 1x MRC multicoated- $30
Promaster 82mm UV - $25

a few questions.
does it fit a Canon 30D? i am new to this photography thing
would you let me test it out for a day? i am going to the redskins/cowboys game and would like to see how it holds up.
how much cleaning needs to be done? do you have the warranty papers for it?

1) yes, it will fit a 30D or any other digital SLR made by Canon
2) It should perform well for you in that situation. I MIGHT be willing to let you test it out if you would be willing to leave a deposit.
3) I do not have warranty papers. In any case, I've owned the lens for about 2+ years and the previous owner was the staff photographer for the Astros, where it got all the wear you see on the lens now. The glass is perfect (no scratches, knicks, etc) but like I said there is some dust inside the lens. Canon has a standard factory service that they will perform on lenses to clean all elements and electronics and such - sort of a tune-up. Last I checked (a while ago) it was $60 + 2-3 week turnaround.

That is a kick-ass price on a telephoto L!!! Damn Chris......can you buy a 100-400mm L so I can buy that from you
I'd pick it up right now if I wasn't looking for something 400mm or more.
