I recently (10 minutes ago) purchased a tow hook holder from RhoPlate.com it should be here next week and I will provide pics and details on the fitment although I have heard nothing less than good reviews about the product

I think you are more likely to get a no front plate ticket with it in the windshield than not running one at all. You can also manage to get two tickets out of having it in the windshield. 1 for no front plate, 2 for not properly displaying the front plate or something like that.

put it on the bumper or just leave it off

I got the Rick's Accessories front license plate mount. its looks sharp having that anngle look to it.

Same with me. Except I fold the plate up to the bottem part of the numbers so it is much smaller.
