I ordered through eBates, through Amazon. Ended up being about $240. It seems to be the going rate for them. I've watched it for about 1-2 months and it fluctuated between 240-280 on some sites. I just bit the bullet and ordered it since I've been wanting one.

Good intake. The sound it makes is intoxicating!

How was the install? I heard the noise is quite a difference from stock. I'm concerned about the install. I'm not mechanically-retarded, but I wouldn't say I'm mechanically inclined. I'm going to post up a thread once it gets here to see if I can get some assistance from the locals. I would like someone more experienced than I am to look over me while I do the install.

If there was a maybe/probably going list, that's which one i would be on! Such a productive day. The women went to her sisters and took the kid givivg me the rest of the day to get stuff done.

Fab'd up the stock exhaust to the 3' exhaust. SUPER SLEEPER. With the cutout closed and driving around somewhat easy, you wouldn't know it was boosted.

Also fab'd up the valve cover with the bungs for the catch can.

It should be fairly easy. I bought my car with the intake already on it. I'm sure you can find a DIY on here that will help guide you. All you should have to do is remove a few hoses and sensors and any bolts holding the stock air box in. Don't start pulling on anything until you have everything disconnected.

This weather isn't giving me any hope that it will be nice for the cruise

Monthly forecast says 61*. But that's subject to as its quite far out. I'm sure it'll be alright. This week is supposed to be mid- fifties.

I'll look up the DIY online...I read it up on the website and it seems like there's a lot of hoses and sensors.

The weather this time of the year in OC is very unpredictable. I would pack hoodies and coats personally. I've grown up living there off and on sooo.....

I'd offer to give you a hand but the install on the 06+ is a lot easier than the earlier cars, I was able to skip half the instructions.

So I've heard!

I'm debating just doing a Ap2 motor swap into my Ap1 then installing the FIPK since its much easier on the Ap2.

I think it would be a smart idea to have a "rain date" for this cruise, just in case... It would suck to have all this planning done only to have it be 40 degrees and raining on 3/30... Just an idea. We could somehow decide using a poll or something so that no one gets left out. I'm sure we'll get a better idea of what the weather will be like once the date gets closer though.
