I need to replace a clutch on my '02 S2K. Have a couple of questions..

1. I can't see replacing the clutch without a lift, but is a lift mandatory?
2. Are there any experienced techs that want to make money on the side with replacing one? I live in the Manassas, Va area...any help would be appreciated!

well when i did mine i had to drop the motor half way to get to the bolt on the top of the tranny but it helped that i had a lift but if you dont have a lift you have to take off your intake and exhaust manifolds then its easy after that. not that hard its a good bonding experience with you and your car! I've replaced clutches in 4 different S2000's. A lift isn't "mandatory", but is very, very, very helpful. It takes me about 5 hours to do the job, including a lunch break. Good luck. Most shops will charge around $650-$700. If you were closer, I would be more than welcome to do it for you, but you're a few hours away.
