fender rolling
anyone in the mid-a have experience with fender rolling? if so, where did you go to have it done and how did it turn out? i am getting my wheel/tire setup ready for the spring time and will be needing a solution to tire rub before i get everything together.
also, a buddy i work with suggested fender cutting versus rolling. he told me that rolling the fender will work, but since the paint will crack, over time it will eventually flake off.
any suggestions?

i got my fenders cut and rolled about two weeks ago. the place i took it to did a pretty good job- dude who did it seems to be pretty knowledgeable. the shop deals mainly with bimmers and audis- and is a really clean facility. he explained to me exactly how he would achieve extra clearance for fatter wheels/tires by cuttting and edging the inner fender. to prevent paint from cracking, he heated up the area that was going to be folded. lastly, a layer of epoxy was applied to the cut area to avoid rust from forming on the cut sheet metal.
it costs me $250.00 to get the job done ($125.00 a fender). the work done was to my satisfaction and was done in a clean and proffesional manner. i have to go back in the future to have the epoxy further sanded down (takes 24 hours to cure). . .but other than that, the job only took about 3 hours to do.
if anyone is interested, the place is called PRO IMPORTS. they are located in rockville- right behind twinbrook metro. (301)-881-4905. ask for patrick.
