Okay, since I'm not sure of which locals are heading to FC '02, this suggestion may not fly all that well, but thought I'd put it out here:

Friday October 4th, I will be heading towards FC '02 from Richmond, VA and I was wondering if anyone else wanted to join in the fray? Frankly, I won't be speeding my ass off (I've already enjoyed being one of "The Unlucky 13" during the spring OBX meet)...so it's 10 mph or so over -- with "spirited-spurts" when all looks clear.

I should be leaving out of Richmond, VA ~ noon (1pm at the latest). I think Airgate and Anna will be meeting up with me at noon to head on. If time allows, I might try to quickly install Raul's OEM Strut Bar that arrived with our Muz GB recently...but that should take all of 10 minutes...tops!

Provided he can swing the weekend off, ricosuave also should be joining us departing from Richmond. If I'm extra lucky (since my wife won't be able to make it), I might be able to talk Ric into smuggling out some silicone breast implants j/k. Hey, if he REALLY could, I'm fairly sure I could work out my *beer tab* just passing those fun bags around the bar Friday night!

Anyway...lemme know if you would like to coordinate with our northern assault for Oct 4th heading to FC '02.

speaking of breast implants, I saw the movie "Breast Men" last night for the first time.

Some parts were pretty gross.

Hmmm... Why you have not heard from EJ is a surprise to me. Surely he's just been busy??? But he has your name on the FC '02 thread similar to my thread here. He kinda usurped this thread for a Fall Colors-based thread on the FC forum for the same thing. I suspect he has plans to meet up with you...and he's still hoping to leave a couple hours earlier than us (*and* from a more northern location at that) -- so riding up with him would certainly get you there sooner than it would riding with us...

Just as an FYI, I'm part of a small contingent that is heading north rather late in most folks' minds. As you gathered, we are not leaving Richmond until ~ 1pm (although there is every opportunity that it could be earlier...but by...what, mebe 1/2 hour...1 hour earlier at best -- making it noon leaving Richmond) on Friday. We are also not planning on tearing up the highways and gathering speeding tickets along the way. I suspect we'll have a 9 or so hour drive (barring any traffic)...which would put us up there around 9pm or 10pm Friday night. Considering the previously mentioned intentions, by all means feel free to join us if you desire...but I would *never* suggest that you travel south to meet up with us heading north. We could establish a meeting place to gather you up.

Try to catch up with EJ though (and let me know the outcome). I can keep this idea open of you meeting up with us to travel north into Thursday evening if you are having trouble contacting EJ. Call me on my cell phone if you get concerned that you'll be heading up alone...we'd love to have you. Cell ==> 804-564-5725
