Yeah, well, on top of all of that, the judges come to trust most officer's judgment... so if the officer says an exhaust was too loud, lights were too bright, music was too loud, it was unsafe to proceed through and intersection, whatever the case may be... then a Judge is most likely going to agree with the officer. I think most people understand that even if they don't spend much time in the courtroom.

But I just wanted to point out that it wasn't just a given that running through a yellow is illegal.

I think we're on the same page now.

Actually no. DC has officers standing on the street corners of intersections waiting for cars to be stuck in the middle of a red in the interesection. They will ask the car to pull to the side and give them a ticket.
