Smart man.

I have the -04 ASM header and it's definitely a nice piece. But, exhaust manfiolds like the ASM, Amuse, J's, etc. are expensive pieces for what they do.

As for the noise changes, it's mostly from the engine bay. Due to the thinner walls on most exhaust manifolds, you tend to hear more exhaust flow(almost a raspy sound), and valvetrain noise. But they're definitely pretty to look at.

Well I mean money is not a problem really, just have to save up, hahaha.

But yea, I want to go for the $$$ stuff.

I love the feedback guys. Now I just have to reconsider what I want. Lol, you all made this sound good. Hahaha.

If I were you I'd definitely consider the Amuse manifold that Brian(WashabiS2K) is selling. The Amuse was one exhaust manifold I almost purchased before my ASM manifold. But like Cory mentioned, it's always best to keep it uniform.

I've got a Skunk2 dual, which most people think is an Invidia since they sound pretty close, although when VTEC kicks in I cannot hear my exhaust over my intake, I do not have a header or a test pipe on my car, still running stock header and cat.

Is there anything I can do to make my engine louder even before it hits VTEC? My car gets loud around 5000 RPM thanks to the CAI.

The exhaust manifold will help with that. Will make for more "mechanical" noises. Of course, only other option for more engine noise would be ITBs.
