I'm still debating. Two track events and the Dragon in April. I can probably only pick two... (seems like a recurring theme.)

There are a lot of factors for the lower turnout to attend this year's WTD. Not to worry...lots of folks measure the "success" of an event by the number of cars...but I will tell you that the SMALLER sized events are much more fun!! You really get the opportunity to connect with people.
When we had 226 cars at WTD 2007, geez...it was a mad-house...S2000s everywhere...people everywhere... Figure that we had about 300+ people to contend with. It's a lot of work.
At any rate, honestly...I'm kinda looking forward to a smaller event this time around. Of course, we still have 2 weeks for registration, so we may easily see a spike right before the deadline.
All this being said...I'll be at the Dragon on Wednesday. Sorry, I just had to RUB it in.

I'm going. Taking one of my sisters with me this year too (that'll piss off her twin sister immensely! )
We should be leaving early Thursday morning from Bumpass, VA (west of Richmond, VA). We have no plans to 'haul-ass' to get to WTD...just gonna drop the top, set the cruise control, and get there when we get there. Staying until probably noon-ish Sunday, then heading back.
Looking forward to the event!

When it stopped, we were like kids in a candy store...when did we finally leave that Sunday?? 3pm? 4pm??

One of the reasons I didn't have a desire to attend the great event that Raul and his group put together was because it had become too damn big. '04 had something like 80 cars and I thought that was plenty big. You all be safe!
'06 was too big for me, too, but I loved staying at Fontana Village! That was awesome to be isolated and so close to the fun roads.
