I'm going to have to back out of this years meet. I have to be in Asheville to preview 3 drives for S2KDays. I won't be back until Sunday the 6th. Skip, keep everybody in line.

You know that I will. One of the drives is from Asheville to Highlands and back via Cashiers and a few small towns. That one you can use google maps to see. The second drive is to the dragon for people who just can't get enough dragon. The third drive is the secret one and should be a white-knuckle drive.

Ken, remember that 129 is blocked presently at one end... I'm not familiar with your intended route of course, but just keep in mind that you wouldn't be able to come in from 'the lake' side / Foothills pkwy...

It reopened last weekend. The local LEO's were losing too much money so they got it fixed. (BTW, go here and scroll down to the bottom of the page and check the photo on the left. Check this out.)

Oh...so they opened both ends now? Wow!...that was generally fast . Personally, I enjoyed the 'semi-closed' nature of The Dragon recently (as your redirected pic would suggest ).

I still plan on coming to this, but as of this moment I might have to ask to be put on the not-confirmed list.

If all goes well, I saw that Mac N' Cheese is missing from the wanted/needed list. I'll bring that along with a chafing dish and fuel.
