I'm keeping an eye out for you Skip.....wait a second....I just remembered that one of my friends is going to be offloading his Suburban work truck soon. I'm pretty sure that can handle what you're trying to haul, and he is moving it cheap.

Man, that is bad news all the way around Skip.

My brother had some bad luck Tuesday night. Lightning struck his house and there ins't much left. Most importantly, no one was injured.

Thank you, everyone. The truck is dead and will be sold as a parts vehicle either to a yard or on eBay. It's difficult to acknowledge that it won't be in the driveway again.

I ended up having to see the doctor on Tuesday. The stiffness/soreness and headaches were beginning to pile up. They've got me on prednisone, skelaxin(muscle relaxant), and hydrocodone. If I don't wait too long to take the relaxer and pain pills, I don't feel a thing, but really hate feeling "not sharp." Even if the car is fixed in time, I don't think I'll be driving Monday. I would want at least 24 hrs of no meds(with lots of water intake) before getting on the track.

ashzero, I remember it being nighttime when you picked up the mufflers. I believe you had a lady friend with you when you came to the bowling center. Congrats on picking up an S.

I'm cash poor right now, but if someone comes across a truck that can tow 10,000lbs on the cheap, please drop me a PM. I'm also considering selling the trailer to cover the cost of a used truck. I could always rent an open trailer from U-Haul or the like.
Skip,
Makes sense about not driving with the muscle relaxant (the other drugs would probably just make you drive a little more aggressively ).

If you are sure that you will not be able to make it on Monday, let Joe know as soon as possible.

If it would not bum you out too much, come on up Monday anyway (if you are not working) and hang out with us.

FWIW, I have a pair of AP1 (if there is a difference) center caps to return to you.

AND...

I'd like to see your ugly mug again.

My uncle has an '88 GMC pickup for sale. All I really know about it is that everything works, it's got a 350 motor, and he wants $2k. I was considering picking it up, but I would need to sell the CRX first. If you decide to sell the trailer, let me know what you'd need to get for it.

Sucks to hear. Sounds like you did all that was humanly possible to miss everything. Glad to hear no one was injured.

If I'm able to sit in the car 2 straight hours to get there, I'll be driving(of course, if the car is capable). I get the car back tomorrow if the alignment checks out. It'll be attended to first thing in the morning.

As I mentioned after hearing about Peter and now this, I have nothing to complain about. Glad to hear the family is physically safe. I'm sure the entire family will be a little apprehensive during severe storms for some time.
