Thumbs down engine wont start help!

Hey guys so here's the short story. Driving to my gfs and my cel was previously on for a vacuum line leak when all of a sudden it began flashing I knew it was bad news. Pulled over did a once over of the car, exhaust smelled like excess gas and the car was puttering a little. So I decided to head home drove for about half a mile low rpms (<2500) and lost juice The engine was off it trys to start but never fires up after it turns over. Sry for the horrible grammar but this is being sent in a angry fury from a driod. Any ideas? All help is much appreciated.

Never drive on a blinking CEL. Get a tow.

Smells like gas? Maybe no spark in one of the cylinders?

Pull each plug and check, if it's really bad one of the plugs could be damaged.

Start with the rear most plug first.

+1. It could be a bunch of different things. Bad coil, bad plug, bad injector, bad valve, spark plug backed out, bad vacuum leak, etc.

First thing to do is definitely pull the plugs. They can tell you so much just by looking at them.

Pulling the code would be helpful too.

Plug definitely backed out. I've seen it numerous times.

Patience and pliers/vacuum cleaner should get the rest if the pieces out.
