I know a few of you guys have Elements, too. I'm starting to look at them pretty seriously. What model years do you guys have? Any complaints or issues? I want a dirt cheap / high mileage one that I won't mind beating up. But, I don't want it breaking down on me either. I assume like any Honda it's good for a couple hundred thousand miles if maintained... Sage advice?
Do you guys have the 2WD or AWD models? I'm debating the necessity of AWD for the mild winters we've been having around here. On the other hand, it would be great to have something that could make it to Snowshoe in a storm.
I'm looking at a few in the $12k to $14k range and putting about $2k down. Does anyone know what used auto financing rates are like right now? Credit score should be great, except I just refinanced the house. Hoping to purchase before that hits my credit history.

My ELEMENT was an absolutely fantastic car!! I LOVED my ELEMENT and still have mad respect for them. I almost bought another one...but decided my ELEMENT days were over.

Aaron,
We have an '07 AWD. It serves it's purpose to the fullest. I can't say anything bad about it other than getting to the oil filter is a real bitch (when changing the oil) other than that - it is great.

Raul, I knew you'd chime in.
Alex, I don't think I knew that you and Melissa had one. I bet it's great when you need to haul the dogs around.
I'm going to shower and go look at this one at Criswell in a bit. Financing rates look like they should be pretty reasonable.
