What's the difference between the Elda and the Hard Dog? The HD bar is based on the Elda, right?

Here is what I was told by an undisclosed source:

"IMHO the ELDA is the best bar made for the car, unfortunately it isnt' made anymore.
The owner of elda sold the plans to #### and he f-ed them up trying to redesign it cheaper which is how HardDog came to know/own/copy the plans. The problem is the copy is never as good as the way ELDA had it done."

 

good news....hopefully....but I sold my Elda bar (when I sold my car) to Jeff (stratocaster) from Ricks. He is trying to get a fab shop near him in TX to made the Elda bar and then have them sell it.....lets hope for other folks sake

 

I don't have any issues with the Harddog bar. I don't really know what the undisclosed source is talking about.

 

I thought Hard dog redesigned the Elda so you didn't need to cut interior pieces?

 

you still have to with the HD bar!
