Thanks guys!

Seat position is OK. I can't slouch as much, but everyone tells me I need to improve my posture anyhow.

Me thinks seat belts may need to route outside of the bar. They are pinching and not retracting as routed. I was worried about the top frame rubbing them into the bar, but there is the clearance of a matchbook there. Comments?

F-ng air bag lamp is on. Yes I forgot to put the seatbelts behind the bulkhead before I bolted it in, so I unplugged them to re-route the wires. I have an ODBCII unit and will find out if that can reset the SRS. The manual has a lot of acronyms, but doesn't refer to an ODBCII.

I had the Elda bar in my S. It was already in the car when I bought it so I didn't know how crazy it was to put it in When I sold the car and took it out I knew the bar was awesome but for the tight clearances it was in I was just blown away at the design that Wael made when he created it

Enjoy

Lou, you can't use an OBDII scan tool to reset the SRS light. There's a DIY guide on the forum on how to reset it. You basically plug a paper clip into a harness to reset the SRS warning light.

Also, don't forget to get a high-density foam pad for the roll bar. Bethania garage sells one that fits their roll bars for the S. I think it will most likely fit the Elda bar too.

Thanks Calvin, I just figured that out I made a jumper with 14 AWG wire and was going to try that, but a paper clip makes sense. I got so many hits on that search I couldn't tell truth from fiction.

I will be ordering some padding if I can't source it nearby. What do you sugges for touch up paint? I should have done that with spray paint before I installed it. I don't think I want to try that now.

What about the seat belt routing?

Lou I may still have the tool I fabbed up for the SRS light reset. Its a hole sequence you have to folow my tool had a on/off switch and made it easy.

Mine was a cracked connector on the passenger seat belt.

Nice job Lou, I think you'll be surprised how much harder you'll push on the track with the extra protection. Hope to see you a the Oct NASA event.

Rob, I may take you up on that. I used half a paper clip and cut the end off. Then I used a little alligator clip for the connection. It was doing everything it should, until the end. I got one flash and then it came on steady. The book (or the FAQ on here) doesn't say if it goes dark after the last flash, or stays on. I don't know if it ever cleared or not, but it stays on after I start the engine. I am sure I connected those little bastids carefully.

I know when to stop and call it a day It looks like I may have most of the weekend to play with it. If the leftovers from Gustav don't blow over here, I think that Hannah (SP) will be sure to rain out any of my outdoor projects.
