Default Cumberland Airport Auto-X Series

Cumberland Airport Autocross Series 2008

The Cumberland Airport Autocross is the most fun you can have with a set of car keys. The course is long, very fast, easy to navigate but hard to get "just right." We had a blast at the event last August so I thought I would give it a go again this year. I intend to make a few of them but I am 100% positive for the May event. Anybody want to join me?

The event is $35 a day (yes, you can choose just one day). The dinner is $20. Various t-shirts are also available. I suggest you bring cash and pick on up trackside; you will get to see them that way.

This event is VERY professional but also VERY relaxed. They have the latest in timing equipment with two boards that show the current run. You will also get a timing slip for EACH RUN as you exit the course. The staff is all very adult and laid back but they will NOT tolerate any asshatary. It is also worth mentioning that there are NO RIDE ALONGS.

THE 2008 SCHEDULE
May 3-4 - Ice Breaker Autocross
June 6-8 - Cumberland Historics
July 26-27 - Speedweek Autocross
August 16-17 - Summer Sizzler
September 20-21 - Harvest Moon
October 25-26 - Pumpkin Carve

REGISTRATION
There are three ways to play. You can click on this link to download a 2008 entry form in PDF format. This form can be used to enter individual events by mail or subscribe to the entire 2008 season. If you prefer to use a credit card on-line to enter individual events, you are welcome to visit www.myautoevents.com and register on-line. I recommend the later. ALSO... Dinner Saturday night (BBQ). DO IT!!! GREAT TIMES and AWESOME food.

I tell you one thing. You guys won't be roping me into the Summer Sizzler again. After two full days in 90+ degrees and sun.. I was delirious.

I'm right there with you... I have never been so dehydrated in my life. I think my head still hurts.

Just reserved my room ONLINE through the hotel link I posted above. Makes life a little easier.

FYI... The rooms are about $65 a night for two double beds.
