Default Covers-Front end (bra)

M-A-Group

A bra is probably not too politically correct these days but what the heck...

Can anyone suggest where to get a qualityy cover and bra? We bought a cheapy for the up coming storm (still waiting for Melwood to come over and haul out a bunch of stuff to make way for the S2K).

Also.... I'm feeling second gear(s) when I shift with any kind of RPMs. I seem to remember reading there was a TSB out on this. Ours is a 2004 and I would have figured Honda would have corrected this. Is this normal? 1300 miles-baby is still growing...

I got a bra for my car in my storage, I forget the name, but I think it was Colgan or something similar.

The thing about these bras is that you're NOT suppose to keep moisture in for it could damage your car's paint job and also ruin the bra (this is what someone once told me).
I still haven't used mine yet, I got it for my long distance trips, but I was ill-adviced against using during bad/wintery/wet weather.

You should ask Dave/W1ngman, I think he used one on his S awhile back.

I'm not sure about that 2nd gear grind thing. It occured quite a bit w/ MY00-01 and less often on 02-03, but didn't know it was still doing for 04's. Maybe the oil isn't warm enough yet. Mine's MY02 and it only happens rarely when it's cold out.

Wow, you already logged 1,300 miles on your S?

Yeah. I took it to Atlantic City when I visited the FAA Tech Center. We take it out on the weekends for a couple of hours each day (even when it 30). It's just so darn much fun to drive! I have been driving into DC with it too but I HAVE to stop. The roads are sooo bad in town. It's just the tought of driving the Jeep or Buick is a drag

Anytime.

My gf lives in DC, it kills my car too, it's so bumpy and rough. But once you figure out some smooth backroad in DC, it's much better and tolerable. Also, she's getting her jeep in 1-2 weeks, I can't wait.

And I take my S everywhere too. I've done Atlantic City 4 times already, NYC about 3 times, Niagara Falls this past summer, VA Beach/OC Beach/Rohobeth Beach too many times. I'm also taking her to PA to go skiing/snow tubing this weekend and first week of Feb to celebrate my gf's b-day/v-day/my b-day combo. I'm glad I got my all season tires.

Hope you can make it to the mid-a mod day.

We'll try. I'm sure we will make a couple gatherings. Good excuse to drive anyway

I had a Colgan bra. No complaints...although I agree that these should be installed for the purpose of trip "X" and then removed when not needed. They can affect the paint. Moreso, dust & debris can get behind them...if left on for extended periods of time...then rain/washing car allows water to wick down behind, and further draw debris down behind. Then *that* debris can scratch paint while pulling bra off.

I say all that not to be an opponent of them...just to be precautionary. I would probably still be using a bra had I not purchased an OEM lip that then made it impossible to install the bra (since it was designed by the company for just an OEM...non-lipped...bumper).

Thanks Wingman.

Looks pretty good. How easy/hard is it to install? I just hate the way my other vehicles are getting chipped to heck on that Beltway/295.

I guess I shouldn't complain. At least I haven't had any propane tankers fall on my head...
