Doesn't the F22 has the same power as the F20? I've read that it's because the industry changed the way they calculated HP.

More torque at a lower rpm ends up providing the same amount of power.

horsepower = torque x rpm / 5252

F20C: 153 lb ft * 8300 rpm / 5252 = 240
F22C: 162 lb ft * 7800 rpm / 5252 = 240

Yup, Cory's been awesome about things. I'm also getting a few other things done while I'm at it, and the engine should be in by the end of this week, then a few more days to install it.

The magical ebay. It's an '03 engine with 80k, long block with head, $2500. If you don't need the head, BillMan in New York has some short blocks brand new he can get for a little bit more, or you can get a JDM Spec with transmission for about $3500 plus shipping I think.

Baby is home! New engine was put in, running pretty well, new clutch I need to break in, but liking it so far. I have the Stage Two from Competition Clutch. It's lighter than stock, but I'm hoping for good results once it's all bedded in and that stuff.
Hopefully when C Ory gets a chance he'll be able to post pictures. I screwed up my block something good. Piston go BOOM! Three good sized holes in the block. Hell of a misshift... Silver linings, my old clutch was completely gone anyways, so getting that in was needed anyways.

Glad you got it fixed.

Here is a little trick to try when shifting

When using 1st and 2nd gear, rotate your hand to the right so your thumb is on the shifter

3rd and 4th rotate your hand back so your palm is directly on top of the shifter, 3rd and 4th do not need any lateral movement just forward and back.

5th and 6th twist your hand and thumb down.

Do this all the time it will be automatic after a while.

I started doing this after a almost money shift at VIR went from 5th at 127 MPH to 6th and found 4th instead. I replaced the spring retainers shortly after that.
