Coming to Winchester, VA
I'll be in Winchester, VA in mid-May for a golf trip. 12 guys in total. We are staying at the Sleep Inn & Suites in Winchester and playing Virginia National, Shenandoah Valley Golf Club, Stonewall Golf Club and Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club.
I was hoping to get recommendations for restaurants in and around Winchester. Steakhouse, Italian, BBQ - - - we'll eat about anything, however a steakhouse would be great.
Also, suggestions for evening entertainment. I think I read about a horse track and a sprint car/dirt track. Any casinos in the area? How about bars?
Lastly, this is the one trip away from the family for some of the guys and they are always looking for a 'gentlemen's club'. Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Vixen's. its right off the Inwood exit, near the West Virginia-Virginia border. Very nice place, I would recommend it to anyone. As far as a steak place, I'm not really sure. They did build a lot of new places in the area including the Olive Garden. If you get off at the Stephens City exit which is 110, i could be wrong, its the next after Winchester if you are traveling south on 81, there is an Out Back steak house right there.

There is a Hoolihans (SP?) at the entrance of Blue Ridge Shadows and it is pretty good.
A good place for both dinner and music is Sweet Caroline's http://www.sweetcarolines.net/ Check the website for a menu and entertainment schedule.
I will try to think of a few others.
See if you can get a round in at Bowling Green Country Club

+1 for Vixen's. Go to Charlestown, WV and bet on some horses and then head over to Vixen's.

If you don't mind a wee bit of a drive, I would HIGHLY recommend two places:
Magnolias at the Mill in Purcellville, Virginia (http://www.purcellvillerestaurant.com/)
and
Cafe De Mezzluna in Charles Town, West Virginia (sorry... no website)
I'm sorry, but I don't know Winchester all that well but I have eaten at and enjoy these two places VERY much. I am more than happy to give you directions if you would like to call or PM me.
Magnolias is by far the nicer of the two restaurants. But don't count out Mezzaluna... The ambiance is... well... just not there BUT the food is AMAZING, extremely authentic Italian. You pretty much need a translator for the menu.
Let me know if you have any questions... This area is pretty much my home so I know it all well.
Cheers!

Both are really good.
Sweet Caroline's has live music most nights - someone already posted the website.
