Default Clutch replacement

i was wondering if anyone in the MD/DC/NoVA area would be doing a clutch replacement on their own anytime soon. i plan to do mine in my own garage. there is still a lot more that i want to do to my car that will cost a lot of $, and i need a lot more experience in working on my car. therefore, paying someone to swap my clutch out will not help me at all.

if anyone is doing a clutch job anytime soon, i'd be more than happy to come lend a hand where i can and just stick around to see exactly what goes on. i've been reading up on the DIYs but i think i can get a much better idea of what's actually going on if i see it in person.

thanks
Rashad

This is the one thing you should pay a shop to do for you. It's a pain in the ass to do it in the garage on jack stands. It'll take you at least a full day to do it.

If this is your first time doing something this complicated, pass on it, and pay someone.

Not sure if you already have your SC on already but I highly advise that you do the clutch and SC install at the same time.

You learn by doing it on a civic. You'll be in way over your head with this one.

Doing a cluch swap on a civic is a tad different than the S. You're going to have to lower the engine in the S to change out the clutch.

yeah i understand exactly what i need to do--it's just a matter of getting under there and doing it. a friend who lives on my street who's done clutch jobs, engine swaps, and what not in his garage will be able to help me out if needed (most likely will be needed). thanks
