You NYC ballas!!!
I goto the NYC Auto Show pretty much every year -- The DC Auto show unfortunately ends up being mostly last year's stuff.
So this is real? This isn't like the "news" of them canceling the S2000 in 03, 04, 06, and 07? I'm sure it will be out of my budget, but it sounds like a pretty nice car with all those upgrades (if it comes out).
cthree posted some "reliable" information in the S2000 Talk thread that seems to contradict what was posted in this thread -- Namely that the CR would be a permanent hardtop version of the S2000.
I guess we'll all know in a few weeks! Even so, the CR at the NYC Auto show will most likely be a "concept" car that gives as Honda loves to say a "strong indication" of what the production version will be like.

Hopefully it wont be crappy like their new F1 cars
Its hilarious to see their OLDER chassis with a lower tier team do better than them

errr, i take this back - sort of. the fool that works there *ducks* now told me that the HT will be bolted onto the body of the car rather than using the current (separate) hardware.
i really want to see the dash, bumper and spoiler on this thing - supposed to be all new.

If a hardtop were anymore pernament, it would be a coupe.

I want to buy this car in a bad way, I just don't think there's anyway I can afford it. to anyone that buys one.
On the flip side, if it's close $40k, I think I'd rather take a C6 base model or Elise. Just food for thought.

Unless this car has really trick brakes, engine, trans, diff. You are spending more for less.
You can find a good shape AP1 for 14-17K, spend 10K to 15K on upgrades and have a car that will peform the same or better IMO.
