Dude, I don't think anything besides missionary position during sex is legal.

yeah I think that's true actually. I should be serving a life sentence right now!

I didn't even think about the yellow reflector requirement for the front. It's definately illegal then. I'll probably stick with he ugly yellow corners especially after the 4 tickets I've gotten for no front tag on my RSX. Damn laws! I'm a good guy now though cause I finally but that fugly tag on

Well I was misinformed, but the car passed inspection anyway. My bad.

I posted about MD because many people on this board are from MD and I thought I would pass along the information. I guess I was asking for it though

Not this again. It is illegal to modify your car in anyway if it didn't come from the factory that way But this onlyy matters if the cop knows what he's doing or he wants to be an ass. I know my husband is an officer
huh? that doesn't make much sense. Of course certain mods are illegal but certainly not all of them.

She was exaggeratin' .

papalegate basically nailed it. VA is much the same way. I've always figured that in the event my clear corners weren't to pass "the amber test" (especially as it relates to passive reflector forward of the vehicle's A-pillar) that I might purchase "easy-to-remove" stick-on passive amber reflectors to satisfy a vehicle inspection rejection. Fact is, however, 3...or is it 4 years now......and as many state inspections and I've never had an issue (neither with the inspector, nor Johnny Law). My car is yellow, slung-low, heavy-tint, no front plate, and loud...and it has amber bulbs behind the clear USDM diffusers...and no tickets to date. <== Which means I'll be receiving one this very evening

In Maryland, the amber bulbs behind clear corners satisfy the "turn signal" section of the statute. However, they fail the "reflector" section since the clear lenses do not reflect amber when a light source shines on them from the side. Maryland requires amber side reflectors at the front and red side reflectors at the rear of a car.
This is on the money. But its a federally mandated law by DOT not a state to state law.

There are laws on the books which describe in detail how lights are supposed to work so they are universal across the nation.

This is why companies like APC got in trouble for creating "Altezza" style tail lights. They didn't meet DOT regulations.
