Looks like we're full up now for both days. Feel free to post if you're also interested (in a future date). I'll be more than happy to consider another trip up in the future.

Thanks folks! See everyone on the weekend of Dec 6th & 7th!

Just bumping the thread as a reminder to committed participants. Wanting to verify all is well, folks can still make scheduled dates/times, diffusers have arrived (Dan, I am expecting your set from Stratocaster as per our PMs ), etc.

Folks...as mentioned a sec ago, if you have *not* ordered your diffusers yet from Rick's please don't procrastinate. He is having a lot of demand on these right now as the season is becoming cooler and folks are garaging their S2000s up north etc. So make sure to order in time to receive your shipment for our clearing. Many of you have already informed me that you have your diffusers (or in one case...Avi4now..."nekkid"), so please know that I'm just posting this as a reminder for those that I have not heard from outside of their having posted their interest to have me clear their corners . Just don't want preconceived notion that I have a trunkful of Rick's diffusers or something......I don't (I just do da clearin's ).

Bulbs...bulbs...bulbs... Who needs 'em? I've updated the initial post in this thread for who I've heard from already...but if you've got ideas and have not mentioned them to me...please do so! Remember, when your OEM amber diffuser is removed, you will be presented with absolutely clear bulbs behind the amber diffusers. And unless you are prepared to replace those bulbs (I'm not *telling* you to do so...just informing you to allow you to make a decision if interested, etc.) then when you have me replace your diffusers with your aftermarket ones you won't have any amber blinker (which may or may not be an issue for you). If you're interested in having me purchase (for reimbursement) any of the following for you, please let me know:
  • Amber Turnsignal Bulb - $5.50/pr -- ...please note that I cannot get "HyperWhite" type turnsignal bulbs for the front corners. Only Amber ones if interested.
  • Amber Sidemarker Bulb - $5.50/pr -- these typically come with aftermarket sidemarkers...so you should not need me to pick up for you if you're ordering replacement sidemarkers
  • "Hyper-white"-like Blue Parking/Running light bulbs - $5.50/pr -- these may be inserted in parking/running light below the larger turnsignal bulb as well as sidemarker if anyone is interested. While they have a blue coating on them (similar to how the amber is applied) the blue coat filters the yellow out of the bulb's light so that you're offered a clean, crisp white light. Looks nice, and IMO these tiny bulbs are not very noticable behind either the clear or smoked diffusers.
  • LED Parking/Running/Side light bulbs- $10.50/pr -- these are a pair of tiny 4-LED bulbs on a wedge that easily fits our connectors. Can be placed in side-markers (some have inserted them in front running/parking lights as well). These emit an amber/yellow light, snap the color quickly on/off as LEDs do, and when not actuated, the bulbs look completely clear (near zero visibility behind a clear/smoked sidemarker, etc.).

Of course, for *any* of the bulbs above, if you give me notice now, I'll be happy to "stealth" them for you (see a link within my "w1ngman clears corners..." sig link if you want to see how I do these). Just let me know now so I have time to perform the "stealth" paint job on them prior to travelling up for each of your conversions. Also, on a "stealth" note...I've devised a way to "cap" a little aluminum paint over the amber sidemarker bulbs as well so they are less obvious behind clear/smoked sidemarkers. I will bring my paint/masking supplies with me & if anyone is interested, I'll be more than happy to do the lil' effort there for you before you put your clear sidemarkers into place. Looks neat.

Similarly...please let me know *now* if you need for me to purchase any of these bulb sets (priced above) for you. I need time *now* to run them down between a few PepBoys type shops before travelling up . Pricing already reflects sales tax I have to pay...so that would be your cost to me if you're interested.

--------------------------------

Last thing...to my "hosts" Dan & Steve...do me a favor and PM (maybe re-PM ...sorry!) your address to folks that have indicated they are participating at your respective homes. I have both of your addys ...Just want to make sure everyone can find ya! Thanks!!!! Just 3 weeks now!!!

Thanks all!!!

I would ask that each participant review the initial post on this thread once again. Please note your time that I have scheduled you.

If at all possible, for those that are scheduled for noon and 4pm, please attempt to arrive 1 hour earlier than scheduled.

Arriving earlier, should each proceeding clearing occur quicker than anticipated, I'll be able to start on your conversion that much sooner and wrap up the day's conversions that much sooner as well .

Thanks,
Dave
