Nice seeing you out there Paul, it's great to see someone from Richmond coming out to represent. Are you coming out in the next one?

has anyone done these schools before? is it worth it?
I've heard from a couple of people out here that it's worth all the money. They said, that you get so much run in one day that your tires will almost be out of thread.

I might go on this one, I will let you know.

I want to go do it, but you have to be a member of scca too, so its not only 150+180 for the 2 classes but 90 for the membership. i want to know how often they offer them. for example, im mainly concerned that if i only take the first one, i dont want to wait another whole year to take the next one. but at the same time, i dont want to pay for 2 courses back to back. Does anyone know?

I did the level 1 class they offered around March or so. I enjoyed it so much I went to sign up for the level 2, but it was already full. It seems that they only offer them a couple times a year. I'll be doing the level 2 this time. BTW, you do not need an annual SCCA membership to take the classes. For non-members, they will give you a "weekend membership" that you can use for just that particular event that is included in the price IIRC.

Hey man, that was me who rode with you in the morning. thanks for the ride. how did you end up doing timewise? did you drive all the way from richmond on those tires??

-Matt
o ok kool. im sure I would of had 4 blow outs if I drove from richmond. haha. My parents live in Laurel which is only about 15 minutes from bowie so I just threw the tires on and drove to the stadium. I ended up wth a 39.6. I was playing with different air pressures during the morning which caused the car to understeer at just about every turn when you were in the car. Plus im not that good of a driver.

It was good meeting you Matt. From what I've heard the AutoX school offered by WDCR-SCCA is worth every penny and more. You get a ton of seat time and the instructors are great. I believe they have 2 sessions a year...one at the beginning of the season and one in the middle. I've never done one but would like to for the seat time and some coaching from a more experienced person.

I think there was another one S2k there that was running R comp, he did 39s also. It seems like the sandy surfaces did not do justice with the R comps except the ones that were well prep. The star specs, RE01R and the likes street tires did very well, most of them ran 39s.
