CDC 2006 Auto #1 March 25 in Frederick, MD!
Harry Grove Stadium, Frederick, MD is the location of our first autocross for 2006, on SATURDAY March 25th.
Registration and tech inspection will be at 8:00 and will promptly close at 8:45 to try to accomodate the full field, while still giving 6 runs. You must be DONE by 8:45. So if you arrive at 8:00 you won't have a problem. Don't arrive at the last minute. If you don't get teched and registered by 8:45, you will lose your morning runs.
The event fee is $25 for members and $35 for non-members at this event. So if you plan to attend, e-mail me your name(s), make, model, year and color of your vehicle.
We'll be accepting new members to the club at this event. After March 25th, we will be going back on the membership freeze for most likely the remainder of the year. If you wish to join the club but cannot attend, e-mail us BEFORE March 25th, and we will let you join at the next event you attend.
Member reservations (or participants that will join the club upon showing up) for any events can be made at any time. Open reservations for non-members for this event begins Friday March 17th. To reserve a spot, e-mail your

Update!
We have 95+ people registered for this event. In addition, we have new wireless timing equipment and a MUCH louder PA system.
This means time will be critical. It will probably take organizors longer to get everything set up since this will be our first event with the new equipment and we are also making some procedural changes in how groups get ready to run (which will hopefully make things work faster).
This also means arrive ON TIME for tech inspection (starts at 8:00 and ends at 8:45)! We have had people showing up later and we usually will hang out a bit late to make sure everyone gets inspected but this will not work since we have ~ 20+ more cars registered than usual. 90 cars in 45 minutes means we will have approx. 30 seconds to inspect each car. 40 cars showing up for inspection at 8:40AM is also not going to work. When tech inspectors work late, they have less time to get their own cars prepared and may loose their chance to walk the course. I will NOT be sticking around to tech cars after 8:45AM (so if you are late, you get inspected at lunch and lose your morning runs).
Ok, rant over. Arrive on time, wear warm clothing and have fun.
PS I swore I would NEVER do another AutoX if it was below 45 degrees after the last Philly SCCA Ripkin autoX because that day just plain sucked (MUCH too cold). Ed is making me a lier at autoX #1.
