So we are about 17 days away from the event date and I wanted to post this well in advance to help out with what plans people might have. I am planning to leave from Richmond at about 6:45am Saturday, March 22. The commute to the first meet spot is about 2 hours and 10 minutes. Last year, we had about 7 cars driving up and it was a nice early morning cruise up 95. I spoke with some folks at our impromptu meet this past Saturday and there was some interest and I know there is a few guys driving up from VB area as well as 1 fellow of NC. Please be at WAWA by 6:15ish; planning to depart promptly at 6:30am (Times subject to change as I coordinate with the guys from NOVA so we can roll into Columbia together)


Misc:
As always, lets behave ourselves. Multiple sports cars convoying up 95 attracts attention and we don't need any hassle from the PD. Make sure your car is maintained and ready to go (oil, coolant, tires, brake fluid, etc). I drive the speed limit +5mph. If you have walkie-talkie radios, please bring them. Its nice to be able to communicate. Lastly, lets make sure we get some good numbers so we can represent Central VA!

Was trying to figure out my method of getting up there. I may be down for this, may alternatively get a hotel room up that way.

Also, there is group meeting in Gaithersburgh to cruise down to Columbia. I will post the time and location in the morning for those who want to join them.

Were you planning on getting a hotel in the Richmond area?

I'll be staying the night in Ocean City and leaving back to Richmond on Sunday.

 

I think I posted this on the main event thread but bunch of us are staying Saturday night at the Hampton Inn on 43rd Street Coastal highway Ocean city. We all have made our reservations, please make your reservations as well if you are planning on staying with the group.

 

Yup! I made my reservation for Hampton Inn. Last year, we drove from Richmond to Columbia to OC then back down the Eastern Shore (Eastern Shore IS THE MOST BORING DRIVE EVER). By the time we got to Va Beach we were so exhausted we had to check into the hotel. Definitely not doing that again.
