car is cutting off starting up in the morning
Man I dont know what it could be. My car cuts off in the morning after sitting outside all night in the cold. When I first start it up it revs to like 2k then idles down then cuts off. When I start it again it seems fine. I think it might be because of my cold air intake and maybe on cold starts theres not enough back pressure to create vaccum to keep the car running initally. I think after I start it the 2nd time that theres proper vaccum and the car will hold idle...anyone else have this similar problem.

Simple, these are the first really cold days of the year. This is normal, do not "help" it by reving the car. It is simply the computer trying to adjust, after a few cold mornings everything will be ok..... Of course till spring, when it will happen again

this happened to me for the first time this morning. something made a popping noise too. idk if it was my car backfiring or what. wasnt very loud, but i have never heard it do that before. i have noticed tho that since it has gotten colder out now that my car starts up like shit and takes twice as long to warm up.

I'm having the same problem. Anytime it gets below around 35F or so, the car will not start and hold idle without me blipping the throttle. To experiment, I let it go once with no blip... it started, got up to about 1800rpm, then slowly died. I tried to start it again, and it took about 5-6 seconds of cranking to start, and shot a bit of white vapor out the tail (may have just been normal cold morning condensation though).
If I blip the throttle just a bit, it will hold idle and warm up normally. I'm coming up on the end of my warranty... wondering if I should take it in and have it diagnosed.
