Ahhhh! That makes sense now. Yeah, with 164K miles on the odo...I've gone through quite a few sets of tires - mostly [normal] street driving.

BTW...PJCC...if I'm interpreting your suggestion correctly, please note that our tires are uni-directional. In other words...we don't have the luxury of taking the left rim/tire off the left side of the car, and then mounting it on the right side. That would reverse the tread pattern. And that would be bad -- both for grip/traction, as well as water dispersion. You can do that to an Escort all day long...(or for any tires that are bi-directional). But now our setup. Sorry!

You sir, are totally correct.

Calvin, you need more camber if the outsides are wearing. Run max camber all around if you are doing track events. The track wear should even out the increased street wear.

Flipping tires is no problem, so long as it is not raining. The tread patterns are designed with water dispersion in mind, so reversing the pattern would be a no no. Cale is able to flip his RA-1's because the tread pattern is only two grooves.

Thanks Tom. If I flip them the way that I'm thinking of doing, the thread direction should stay the same. The only way that I could change the thread direction would be to just switch sides without unmounting and remounting the tires. If I just flip sides without taking off the tires and remounting them, the outsides would still be on the outside.
