What's important is that Cale was doing something that he loved when this happened. Let's try to remember Cale for the good person he was and his love of flying, racing and his friends and family. I think Cale would want it that way.

I just realized this, unless Skip ran a sub 124.6 lap in the second shortened TT session, Cale won Sunday's TTC division and was also the season NASA Mid Atlantic TTC #1. Congratulations Cale.

Never been on this board before but was pointed to this thread by a friend from m3forum. I met Cale just a couple of weeks back for the first time at a track day and he was a friendly, helpful, class guy.
I certainly didn't know him well like some on here, but everything that folks have said about him on here doesn't surprise me one bit. He seemed to love everything about the sport.
My thoughts are with him and his family. We need more people like Cale in the sport, and in the world in general.

I have put together a small impromptu gathering at Gorden Beirsch for those of us who might like to raise a glass to our friend.
We will be meeting at the restaurant at the lower level of Tysons Corner Mall around 6'ish. Nothing fancy... Come if you wish. No hard feelings if you can't.
Here is a map of the mall for those not familiar with the restaurant:
