We wish to dedicate our weekend to Cale and honor his commitment to further the excellence of NASA. Cale will be deeply missed by all of us and deeply missed by me.

I will never forget the thoughts of being passed by Cale and wanting to be as good as he was on and off the track. He leaves a legend of true inspiration to us all to learn from on and off the track.

I hope you will find it in your heart to pass this along to everyone you know to spread the word of a true hero in so many peoples eyes.

Just logged on and found out the news.. I can remember meeting him and his crew at a time attack at summit point a year or so back.. Really Nice Guy!!

I remember his many posts on the Racing and Competition forum... a true track junkie and S2000 enthusiast. He wished he could track year-round. RIP Cale.

I didn't know Cale as well as many of you, but like everybody knows, he was friends with anybody that ever met him.

I have been looking for the right words to say for two days, and they were in front of me yesterday morning, before I knew what the outcome would be. I just didn't realize it until now.

1 John 3:18 says "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."

That is how Cale lived his life. He set the bar very high for the rest of us.

Go with God our brother.

My Aunt recently passed away and they told this poem at her service. It changed the way I look at life and how I want to live. I didn't know Cale as I stated above but from what I understand, Cale should be very proud of his "dash".

Of course, replace the feminine with masculine.

I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beginning...to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
and spoke of the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth...
and now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own;
the cars....the house...the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard...
are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real,
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger,
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect,
and more often wear a smile...
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy is being read
with your life's actions to rehash...
would you be proud of the things they
say about how you spend your dash?
