Default Busch Gardens

During the 2005 year the Mid-Atlantic Community kept commenting about taking a trip to Busch Gardens. Well, I think now its about time to start planning this trip. Nothing is set in stone yet, this is only a Gauging Interest thread - however I'd like to see who would be interested!

The date would be set for Sunday, May 21st. This is prior to High Schools getting out - so it shouldn't be as busy, even though its on a weekend. The hours of that day are 10:00 am until 8:00 pm. I thought about pushing it back one week later since they are open until 10:00 pm. However I am not sure how many people would want to stay for 12 hours, then make a 3+ hour drive home.

Personally I will be doing one of those things :
1) Purchasing a Season Pass @ $110 or
2) Purchasing a 2-Day Pass for that Saturday & Sunday @ $70.

I just can not justify paying $52 for 1-Day at Busch Gardens. I do know that we have quite a bit of military in this community. Hopefully some people can offer there assistance with discounting tickets.

Anyways, who would be interested?

I'll go. I know when I went previously, I paid $230 for three days, two nights at the hotel across from the water park and that included passes to both parks!

Evan sent me an instant message stating that some of the NoVa/MD people might be hesitant driving that distance on a Sunday. How does everyone else feel about this? Would Saturday the 20th be better?

Tell the NOVA to stick it where the sun doesn't shine...

Just kidding, Saturday makes sense, plus a day to recover.

or more specifically...

look on the right at the 2-3 day bounce packages. I stayed at the Days Hotel Busch Garden Area

Prices are much more expensive now (I guess it was the time I went).
I just priced out 2 nights (fri and sat night) at that hotel, plus 1 ticket each for Busch Gardens = $311.70

anyone know the details of the Va residents fun card? apparently you buy a one day ticket for $51.95 and recieve a seasons pass that expires on sept 4. I just feel as though there is a catch to it. Like it says the pass is for Busch Gardens Europe. What the hell is Busch Gardens Europe?
