That'll work. It'll be more balanced than going 245's all around. I'm going to have some fun trying to setup the car this year. Even though I'm installing a wing, I need to figure out a way to max out the mechanical grip of the car since the wing won't come into play until I'm at speed.

Oh yeah...

I just ordered the 8 & 10's, but will be on OEM tires with existing rotors. The rotors have 20K on them. I put new front OEM pads on before FC '07, but didn't really need to. They look a lot thinner through the caliper, than when you pull them out. Anyhow, the rotors look virgin.

I can't believe everyone uses a special set of rotors, just for the track. And I know your rotors wouldn't last very long if you turned them before every track day just to put on the Carbotech brakes. Hopefully, someone experienced with this will chime in here.

Pads will be here in about two weeks, so I should be able to bed them and then test drive them some on 211 over to Luray.

Special THANK YOU to SKIP for the 15% off certificate I won at the FC'07 track event drawing! I used the same excuse the +1 does all the time..... Honey, I am saving money.
My misses uses that one as well. im gonna buy parts at the cheapest place i can find and say "but baby i saved money"

I used to believe that nonsense. Then i ran Shenandoah with and without a wing. Huge, damn difference.

I guess I'll find out soon enough. I'm curious to see the speed when the wing comes into play.

How do you plan to quantify this?

Run with and without a wing and review the traqmate data.

So you're going to assume g's will tell you when the wing takes effect? Some sections will be slower timewise because of drag. Overall though, your lap times as a whole will decrease... if you stay on the track.

I'm going to have to go by feel to see when the wing makes a difference. That's if I decide to brave it and take the wing off. Ideally, I'd like to do an autoX first to see how the car handles without influence from the wing.
