Im guessing they just wanted to get the quote directly from the shop that they (insurance company) didnt overspend. As long as your car looks the way it did before your straight.

It should look better.. old trunk had a nice 2 inch scratch down to metal and a little 1 inch one on the quarter pannel there fixing.
