Default BMW E30 for Sale - built for Spec E30 racing

SOLD

Anyone want a fun track car?

I bought this car in October of 2005 from a lady in Suffolk - full story: http://dpmotorwerks.com/RaceStart.htm

I am now in the market for a house, and have to come to terms with the reality of the situation: I am going to be putting money into the house and this car is going to sit for months to years before I ever get around to finishing her . The sale can also help toward downpayment and closing costs. I also have a feeling I'm going to end up in a Condo with limited parking

Back to the Bimmer. This car has been set up for getting into Spec E30 racing and AutoX. I have put well over $5,000 in the car, and feel that the asking price is very fair for what is in it.....especially since it won't take much to get it Driver Education track ready. Just needs wheels and tires basically - or just tires - the stock wheels are fine for Spec E30. Spec E30 rules: http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/SpecE30.pdf

Selling information:

Vehicle: 1986 BMW 325es with tuned and refinished motor - since refinishing less than 100 miles have been put on it, before: 198,000.
Selling Price: $3,300 OBO PRICE DROP: $2,800
Seller: Alex Snyder
Contact: PM on S2Ki, axsnyder@hotmail.com, 757 692-6432
Contingencies: The Cobra Suzuka GT seat is brand new and has never seen a car (sitting in my living room). It is not included in the selling price of this Bimmer. We can work something out if you want it.
Links for the car: Story about the car and pictures on DP Motorwerks.com, Pictures I took the day I bought her, I can email a spread sheet or acrobat file with all the costs and part numbers in the car upon request - the list on DP Motorwerks' site is not accurate.

Interior is now semi-gutted, but most interior pieces are in the back seat.

After refinishing

All new suspension and brake components

As an added benefit, I can also hook you up with DP Motorwerks who knows the car well!

What has been done (*astericks after the part mean it has been installed):
Remember that I can provide a list via email with part numbers and costs break downs - I didn't pay retail for a thing, so this is an even better deal than normal.

I'd like to think that I don't need any references on DragVA, even though I do not post here often, but if anyone is worried about me there are a whole bunch of members and moderators who will speak for me. If you're worried, just ask

I copied and pasted from the DragVA for sale thread and forgot to change the bottom comment - and I'm going to leave it just like it is

Yeah - it is street legal and the inspection is good till November 2006.

What kind of HP do these have?

Also what does refinishing of the engine consist of? A Valve job? New rings? bearings? Pistons?

    The 325es has:

    121hp @ 4250
    170 torque @ 3250

Comes with LSD from the factory unlike the 325is model.

A few of the things this refinish consisted of: all new gaskets, seals, rings, fluids, and bearings. A valve job. The pistons did not need any help at all - they were beautiful - looked like they came out of the factory yesterday. There was still factory cross hatching everywhere. The car was bought used with about 80,000 miles on it by the person I purchased it from and she was a simple woman who just liked the name and power. She didn't drive it hard, but she also did the neighborhood Exxon tune ups. It didn't take a ton of work, but it was setup to endure a day on the track by Dave Pallister of DP Motorwerks. Dave was going to be my instructor and I was to be part of his Spec E30 team, so he set everything up just like it was his.

He's pretty pissed at me for selling, but understands.
