Great route, George...if we come up, it will be more from the Leesburg/Purcellville area. I'm checking out those back roads.

Alright I don't think this is going to happen anymore with the VA volks and the Baltimore MD folks. It's too far out of the MD folks way to go down and it'll be too far away for the VA folks to go up.

I personally do not know any back roads to WV and I was just going to travel on highway. So VA looks like it would be a little more fun. So far it seems like it's going down in flames for the prospect of VA and MD meeting up.
It's 20 miles south, that's too far? if you are taking 340, right after you cross into WV there is a left turn that goes up the side of a mountain (Rt 32) it takes you right to Rt 9 and is a nice twisty and fun road.

For anyone that wants to take the back roads meet at Criswell @ 10:00 and be ready to roll (gassed up) at 10:30

Just so you guys know... The NOVA crowd is going WAY out of their way if they go to Frederick...

Up to you, but... That will add about an hour to your ride.
Yeah i was mapping it out earlier and we could get there in about an hour if we just go down Route 7 correct Jeff?

Judging from the maps we're being taken close to 30-40 minutes out of the way by going south then back north again. I'm leaving the option to many Baltimore members to do what they want to do. I'm very tempted to drive down too but someone needs to organize the baltimore side of things.

Good luck with the drive George and see you at the finish line!

NoVA types really should meet at Tysons for the drive in.

George's route will be a TON of fun for the more adventurous types but seriously out of the way for the NoVA types... The MD folks are just lucking out.

You will literally drive right past my place to hook up with them, Deb... I am about 15 minutes from Purcellville.

You could if you want, but you are going out of your way. Granted, George's route might just be worth it.
